What is this site?
This site is the organizing platform of an informally organized community of diverse people spread out over the planet who exchange on the challenge of mining asteroids. The challenge is broad and wide: Technical, operational, financial and political.
What is the role of this site?
This site pulls together documents, articles and links that have emerged in the work of the group. The active exchange and debate happens in the mailinglists (see below).
How is the work organized?
The group works and discusses through a set of mailing lists, with a coordinating main list ("mother") and sublists branching off to work on specific topics ("daughters"). These mailing lists are Yahoogroups.

CONTRIBUTE BY DISCUSSING:
Anybody is invited to join the discussions. There is a wide diversity with a wide background. Engineers, scientists and laypeople intermingle and exchange to explore the complex issues. If you are interested in participating, surf to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEAmines

What's happening (May. 2008):
Finalized the Milestone "Alpha LEO station". Reorganizing for refocussing on next milestone, discussions presently mainly in the Mother Yahoo
